Not all of these gadgets currently exist (and I am not guaranteeing all of them will end up in our possession by the end of 2025), but these are among the most interesting and potentially useful that have appeared in the last few months or have scheduled appearances sometime next year.
Ring Always Home Cam
Ring has long teased its home drone camera, but it hasn't gone on sale yet. Now this year, we could potentially have the chance to test out what is clearly a highly sophisticated piece of hardware, if it ever receives a mass launch. The camera patrols your home autonomously, alerting you to intruders or security breaches in real-time and returning to its charging dock.
Smart Mirror by Magic Fit
It's a standing mirror that also gives you personal fitness guidance, monitoring your form and counting out reps as you do it. Smart weights and a bench also accompany the full home exercise system, and they don't require a paid subscription like other similar gadgets.
Google Nest Hub Max
One of the best equipped and most versatile of the new smart home assistant hubs. Google's new Nest Hub comes with connectivity to a staggering number of devices and protocols, plus a large, functional screen and excellent speakers. A great home hub option if you're not tied to a competing system.
LG Styler Shoe Case With Shoe Care
First debuted at CES 2023, this could finally be the year the ultimate sneakerhead device becomes a reality. The Shoe Case offers stylish visual storage for your collection of limited-edition sneaks and also keeps them clean independently with the Shoe Care True Steam system.
Samsung Ballie
Ballie is a smart home assistant that, according to Samsung, will assist with home chores by connecting to and operating home appliances. It also doubles as a portable security camera and features a built-in projector that will display images on walls and floors. It will even provide your pets with meals! Ballie is another device that was long rumoured but could finally show its face in 2025.
Philips Wi-Fi Palm Recognition Smart Deadbolt
Smart home entry systems and smart locks have become increasingly popular in recent times, and Philips has always had the most advanced models. Its new smart deadbolt relies on palm biometric information, so you won't have to track PINs or dig around for keys.
SiiPet Pet Camera
Dubbed the world's first pet behavior analysis camera, the device enables real-time observation of abnormal behavior, which could signal future illness. The device is capable of observing and analyzing the behavior of more than one pet and giving explanations and tips based on the behavior of the pets in the home.
Motion Pillow
Demonstrated at this year's CES and to launch sometime in 2025, this pillow is paired with an app that tracks for snoring and repositions the sleeper by inflating or deflating sections of its memory foam filling. The app also collects and monitors sleep patterns to help you have a good night's sleep.
Kohler Stillness Infinity Bath
Not only does this bath give the effect of an infinity pool, with water spilling over and circulating endlessly through the perimeter channels, but it also features built-in aromatherapy and chromotherapy experiences, all controlled through the Kohler Connect smartphone app for the ultimate bathing experience. It isn't currently available and won't probably be cheap if and when it ever becomes available.
Ebo Air Pet Robot Camera
Another pet cam, this one, is designed to follow it around the house on its small caterpillar tracks, being a companion and playmate and enabling you to keep an eye on your pet's activities when you're out of the house.
LG Mood UP Fridge Freezer
One of the most colorful smart fridges available, the new model by LG is built with LED panels that have 438 color choices. The model also features the groundbreaking Insta View function, whereby double tapping a panel gets it to change into a see-through mode, allowing you to see inside without having to open the door.
As we look to these future smart home gadgets of 2025, it's easy to imagine that we're on the threshold of an era of automation and artificial intelligence becoming smoothly integrated into our daily lifestyles. Yes, a few of these items sound more like they'd fit into a science fiction film – and the price points that accompany them will probably keep them out of most people's reach initially. But they're the future of home technology, and as they evolve and drop in price, they have the potential to make our homes not only smarter, but more responsive to our needs, more secure, and ultimately more enjoyable to live in.
